Why Velvet Repair Had to Exist

Some things are made to be sold.
This was made to be used.

Velvet Repair was created because my skin needed something steady.
But it didn’t stop with me.

I began formulating it for my teen and young adult daughters… their skin including mine were a combination of skin that feels weakened, rough, uneven tones, scared by stretch marks, and slow to bounce back. Issues that I could see that created discomfort making them self-conscious causing drops confidence in their everyday lives.

• Over time, additional needs I was not aware of would be met by this product:
  Dry skin that loses moisture easily, there is a significant difference between skin that uses Velvet Repair vs products that are in retail spaces due to purity and integrity of ingredients.

• Sensitive skin that reacts to over stimulation, injection irritation from my GLP-1’s is short lived with Velvet Repair. What used to take a week to recover now happens within 24 hour to 36 hours with consistent application to the area.

• Skin that experiences recurring discomfort and pain: on Christmas Eve, Velvet Repair helped calm the inflammation of an 8 month old helix ear piercing that wouldn’t heal but instead started bleeding and got inflamed. A few repeated applications that afternoon and it was back on its healing journey in no time, up to now there has been no pain as she continues to apply it. And yet the lady in question (my middle daughter) had been ready to abandon all holiday activities to try to sleep the pain away.

• My own weight-loss crepey skin on my butt that I didn’t know just needed high quality hydration and nourishment has gone MIA and in its place is smooth, strong supple skin.

The origins story of Velvet Repair is extremely personal for me and thats why I was very intentional about densely packing it with most nourishing oils at over 70% to 80% in pure, organic butters with the rest in equally nourishing support and active oils.
This butter has been very deliberately formulated by me, designed for daily use on hard working skin that needs care and restoration from ingredients that work.

I believe in slow beauty and slow living… my approach when i decided to create a body care product was testament to this.
It was tested across different bodies, different ages, and different skin needs and environment, giving it as much time as was needed to gather evidence.

I always tell people that Velvet Repair exists because I wanted a body butter that respected the body — all of it.
One that didn’t rely on excess fragrance or urgency.
One that understood that real care is built slowly, through dedication and love for our bodies.

The launch of Silk and Crown is not an arrival.
It’s a moment of readiness.
